The North Shore Artwalk Launch Party took place on April 25th, 2013 at Red Beard Cafe. Kicking off a month long art extravaganza throughout the North Shore of Kamloops, locals and tourists could enjoy a self-guided walking tour of artwork displayed throughout local businesses.
This great evening took place at Red Beard Cafe, a great new space in the area. The Build-Your-Own-Moustache Station was a huge hit with guests of all ages. There were six live performances from country style music to a full piece band, as well as door prizes, and a live reading from local author Melanie Van Mol. Participating artists were also paid to share with the audience how they create their masterpieces, from screen printing to shooting the perfect photograph. In addition, guests could meet participating artists before grabbing a map and going for a walk.
Thank you to Selishia Smith for the use of these photographs.
